I love using coconut oil in cooking!
I recently started using coconut oil after reading reports about its excellent health benefits. Using it for food preparation was my main focus, but then I read about all the many, many ways you can use it and I was enthralled. Coconut oil is an amazing product! And although I have only used it as a food, I am ready to try it for other things. Have you ever heard of coconut butter? Coconut sugar? Did you know that it can be used as a moisturizer for your skin and hair and because of its abundance of antioxidants and vitamin E, it can help reduce the effects of aging.
There has been some controversy about coconut oil for use in cooking because it is a saturated fat. Dr. Mercola cleared up quite a few things for me in the YouTube video below.

With most things there are pros and cons, but with the coconut products the cons are few. But as with all things, the less processing involved the better. Be a wise and careful shopper and enjoy the many, marvelous benefits of the coconut!
